Dr. Elizabeth (Liz) Guerrero Lyons is the Director of Diversity Recruitment for the College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University. Her scholarship centers on multicultural education, mentorship of racially minoritized students, and precollege and pathway programming for pre-health students for Latinx and Indigenous student. She attended Michigan State University, receiving an MA in Higher, Adult, and Lifelong Education Administration and an Ed.D. in K-12 Administration. Her passion and advocacy for diversity, equity, and inclusion was instilled by her multicultural upbringing. Her work centers on assisting students who, for diverse reasons, have not had adequate opportunities to prepare for the challenges of higher education.  She spends her free time with her husband and two kids traveling, camping, gardening, and, cooking.
