MSU’s North American Indigenous Student Organization (NAISO) has worked very hard to put together an amazing day of events for Indigenous Peoples’ Day. The theme this year is Noojimo’iwewin – Healing Our Community. All are welcome, and dancers are encouraged to dance for the collective healing of our campus community. We hope to see you at some or all of the events! The schedule for the day is as follows:
7:30-8:30 am Sunrise Ceremony with Don Lyons @ the Rock 8:30 – 9 am – Welcome
9:00am – 10:30 am – Breakfast at SnyPhi
4:30pm – Meet @ Beaumont Tower 5:00pm – Begin Marching to Hannah Administration Building with words from Stephanie Chau
6:15 – 7:15pm – Events @ the Rock with speakers Don Lyons, Marie Schuyler-Dreaver, and Hunter Genia & Healing song with Southern Straight
7:30pm – Feast @ Bessey Auditorium catered by Rose’s Food Stand and an open mic
